Since the building of the Darwin motor dealership in February 1999, the business has continued to grow and become the benchmark of excellence in the northern region. We have become one of the largest retailers of new cars, used cars and marine in the Northern Territory.

GNB Finance & Insurance has continued to grow - providing services for cars, trucks, earthmoving equipment, personal loans, holidays, credit cards and many other purposes. We are available to everyone - not only vehicle customers.

In November 2000 the Kia franchise was acquired. Since this beginning, Darwin Kia lifted the profile and sales of the franchise to having the N01. market penetration in the nation. The number of vehicles delivered per month now rank Darwin Kia as one of the largest retailers of new cars in The Northern Territory.

In April 2003 Barramundi Cars & 4wds was opened. This dealership specialises in the sales of budget and mid price range used vehicles. It compliments the Darwin Kia dealership by giving GNB AutoGroup the answer for all car buying needs.

February 2004 we commenced trading as Barramundi Marine, in alliance with Stacer Boats and Mercury Outboards.

After one year in business, Barramundi Marine won the "Australian Dealer of the Year" award at the national conference and has become the Territory's premier marine dealership.

Community Service Involvement

1. 2000. Funded Timorese Refugee's education in Australia where he successfully passed courses in English and Computing at Casuarina Senior College in Darwin. Subsequently attained employment at ANZ in Dili where he is a valued member of staff.

2. Funded and helped deliver food to underprivileged children in East Timor.

3. Ongoing sponsor of Timorese families ravaged by militia since February 2000

4. Sponsor of Waratah's Aussie Rules football club and Waratah's Cricket club in Darwin since 2000

5. Foundation member of the Waratah's Sports Association in 2001.

6. Major sponsor of sport in The Australian Defence Forces in Darwin - in particular the 8/12 Rugby Union & Aussie rules sides.
